Wedge surfers are a particular breed. The focus of surfing Newport’s weird wave isn’t generally making it — it’s just sending it. Pull in, get that quick vision, and get demolished. If you do manage to squeeze out… well, that’s just a cherry on top of a very good cake. It’s been a heck of a season so far at the Wedge. South swells have been relatively abundant for spring, and Wedge aficionados have been reaping the rewards.
