The Inertia

“The Head” is in an elite group of waves around the globe that incite fear simply by looking at them. When it’s not breaking in big wave/tow territory, rocks expose themselves and make the wave virtually unsurfable. And that’s why we only see Mullaghmore Head’s massive tubes when they’re large enough to swallow the people that surf them whole. Shallow and only surfable on high tide, cold, big and mean are just a few characteristics that describe the Head. But mean is probably the most appropriate of them all.
