I’ve been living on Siargao Island in the Philippines for the past two years now and it has let me see new things and a new culture from what I grew up with. Although I’m not a local, I am very lucky to be able to capture the amazing talent of both established and up-and-coming young surfers that call Siargao home. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the last run of swell, which was claimed as the swell of the year by many locals. The best part of it all is the real season hasn’t even started yet.
