The Inertia

Wedge season is a fun time of year for masochistic surfers. You know the ones: the type that pack obvious closeouts, filling their various orifices with sand for the sake of a second or two of a Wedge tube vision. Surfing at the Wedge isn’t necessarily about making the tube — it’s just about getting into it. If you do make it out, that’s just a cherry on top. And since it’s early spring, it’s Wedge season.

This particular morning didn’t bring the easiest conditions, but the surfers, bodyboarders, bodysurfers, kneeboarders, and even a few dolphins gave it their biggest swings. And none of them missed, regardless of the end result.
