Aaron Blatt has seen it all in the world of snowboarding. As one of the most respected photographers in the industry, he’s been around the world with some of the best riders on the planet. He’s seen the evolution of the snowboarding contest, and thus the evolution of the sport itself. And he’s been there to capture it all.
The longtime lensman has witnessed the evolution from print to digital, and he adjusted to continue what has become an epic career path. Blatt continues to shoot with some of the best snowboarders in the world as part of the Burton content team, and has moved into mountain biking and other sports as well.
He knows how hard the struggle is to get into photography if you’re an aspiring image maker. But the man has a positive outlook. Instead of doom and destruction in a post-print world, he sees nothing but opportunity for those that have a vision.
In this edition of The Inertia Podcast, he has an inspiring POV for up-and-coming photographers, talks about the change in snowboarding competition, and tells us about the best snowboarding he’s ever been witness to. And the man has been witness to a lot of great snowboarding. Enjoy the listen!
