Merrell Speed Solo Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots – Men’s & Women’s: $150
These boots are made from waterproof suede uppers with barrier membranes to seal out water, yet maintain breathability. Underfoot, there’s a protective rock plate, FloatPro foam, and a Vibram EcoStep rubber outsole with 4 mm lugs. Merrell makes non-waterproof versions, too.
The Speed Solo is made with 100 percent recycled mesh lining, insoles, laces, and webbing. Additionally, the foams are partially made from algae biomass.
KUHL Men’s Renegade Rock Pants & Women’s Freeflex Roll Up Pants: $99
The KUHL Renegade Rock pants are made with a tough soft-shell fabric for durability with a softer feel. The materials are breathable, dry fast, and resist abrasion. For greater mobility, they have a tapered fit and articulated knees. Additional features include UPF 50+ fabric, eight pockets, and a lined waistband.
The women’s KUHL Freeflex Roll-Up pants can convert into capris and are made from a fabric that stretches without using spandex, which helps them retain their shape over time. The pants also wick moisture, repel water, protect from the sun, and dry fast. There’s also a wide waistband with a drawcord and snap-close pockets on the rear and thighs.
Gregory Alpaca Gear Box 45: $60
Gregory continues to make headway in the storage space with its waterproof and dustproof bins. The 45-liter Alpaca Gear Box has a clear lid with hinged latches to allow access from either side. The polycarbonate can withstand impacts and is designed to stack with other boxes. There’s also a channel in the lid to drain water away.
As part of a packing system, the Gear Box is sized to snugly hold Alpaca Gear pods (sold separately) inside.
Chaco x alder Z/Cloud Sandals – Women’s: $110
Chaco’s limited-edition collab with alder adds new colorways to the popular Z/Cloud sandals with a design informed by the latter. That includes the women’s-specific dual-density LUVSEAT midsoles with Cloud cushioning.
The webbing is made from recycled fibers, with adjustable and durable heel risers. Underneath, there’s the non-marking ChacoGrip rubber and 3mm lugs.
