Watching a volcano blow its top makes for some awe-inspiring footage. Footage that one would want to capture from a safe distance away. Krakatau is an island in the Suna Strait between Java and Sumatra. This particular volcano is only about 100 years old and came to be after a previous volcano, Krakatoa, erupted in 1883, killing thousands of people while basically blowing itself up. Krakatau actually rose from the ocean in 1927 and has been a light show of eruptions since.
