Lucas Fink and Chabe White have been crowned the 2024 champions of the United Skim Tour. Less than two weeks after John John Florence was named the champion of the World Surf League at Lower Trestles, professional skimboarders faced off in the UST finals at the Balboa Pier in Newport Beach.
The competition, named Exile Oktoberfest, is the sixth and final stop on the United Skim Tour. The other locations on this year’s circuit were Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Santa Cruz, California; Nag’s Head, North Carolina; Dewey Beach, Delaware and Vero Beach, Florida. While the men competed at every location on the list, the women’s tour only had four stops, excluding Nag’s Head and Santa Cruz.

The women’s final came down to a matchup between Chabe White of Mexico and Julia Dias of Brazil, with White emerging victorious. Meanwhile, on the men’s side, the final heat came down to three contenders: Dane Cameron of the United States and Timmy Gamboa and Lucas Fink of Brazil. In the end, Fink clinched the victory and 2024 UST champion title.
