The Inertia

The majority of my work is inspired by Mother Nature. I try to incorporate a human element into my work as well to draw the connection between mankind and the earth, because as technology advances it seems that people are becoming more focused on the latest “thing(s)” rather than enjoying our surroundings.

While I’ve worked in the action sports industry for a long time as a graphic designer, art director, and illustrator, large scale murals are what I really love to do. I did a lot of murals in high school and college, but then stopped when I graduated from college. Seven years ago I did murals for Whole Foods and it reignited my passion for mural work. So, that is all I want to do and aside from the occasional design or illustration job. Now, most of my work are mural commissions or contract work for companies.

The best thing about murals is the fact that thousands of people will see your work. The work can make some smile and or think, but I’m really stoked to hear when a mural I’ve created inspired someone to pursue creating art of their own. Inspiring kids is great because they are the future of this world and right now we need to inspire them more than ever.
