On the first official Saturday of the summer, June 22nd, Venice Music Crawl will be launching their first ever music festival on Lincoln Blvd. The grassroots movement is aimed at building a music scene on the Westside of Los Angeles. It will be a full day event featuring 47+ artists across 5 venues.
You can catch bands such as Rainbow Jackson and Caught A Ghost at the biker/surf stop, Deus Ex Machina. You can also listen to some Latin sounds by Buyepongo at the Venice Love Shack or dance to some GOJ!RA at Floyd’s.
The music festival will start at 12pm and end at 10pm. The weather is looking perfect, with blue skies, warm sun and 75 degree weather. Not to mention, most of the event is FREE. Any money that is collected will be donated to charity. There is a good selection of bands to watch. To check out the lineup visit Venice Music Crawl.
The Venice Music Crawl hopes to work with community-driven groups like property owners, the Venice Neighborhood Council, Lincoln Business Development and various entertainment production companies to establish a sustainable framework for music in Venice, CA. Lincoln Boulevard is the next logical step towards the growth of Venice and the sound that reflects the culture. It is anticipated that the event will provide added foot traffic to areas that are often overlooked.
The event is community driven and will reflect the creative tech trends that have recently hit Southern California. Due to this aspect, VMC launched an event app. that provides users with up to date information on the festival. The app. is available on itunes.
