As an intro to my collection of art, I wanted to start off by saying that I do a lot of different types of art. I love figurative art, traditional fine art, graphic design, illustration, cartoons, murals, film making, photography and painting. I’ve enjoyed doing all of these kinds of art over the years, and while I’ve created a lot more commercial art and design than personal fine art in the past eight years, I’ve still enjoyed myself and learned a lot along the way.
Some artists stick to one type of style or art and craft it to perfection — I wish I could do that, but the truth is, I get a little bored doing one thing — so that’s why I try and do a bunch of things. It makes things interesting and I can also borrow ideas and techniques from one style and carry it over to another. But the basis of my art remains the same. I have an overarching theme of mother nature, the ocean, waves and the human condition. These remain my inspiration for the work I’ve created and it will for years to come.
Right now, large scale mural work is on the forefront of my mind. Painting as big as possible and bringing art into public spaces is so much fun for me. It’s always an amazing challenge, but when the work is complete and people stop and take notice, it puts a big smile on my face. All I want to do right now is murals and street art, anywhere and everywhere. Especially if I can bring visions of the ocean and nature to urban areas where those images and settings don’t exist.
Thank you for taking the time to check out some of my art!
