I’m a Basque Country-based artist, but I was born and grew up in Chile, a country with more than 4,000 km of varied coastline. Thus, it was only natural that the sea soon became my life’s passion.
In 2010, I moved to Europe and chose another coastal city, San Sebastian, as my artistic residence. Since moving here, the sea has continued to imprint itself on my mindset, and I often bring the intense local images to life through various techniques. My artwork conveys the deep sense of respect and passion I feel for the ocean. It’s been been featured in several galleries across Europe, and my art has been auctioned in several different places around the world, including Christie’s New York Green Auction. I’ve worked with several different surf brands, I regularly collaborate with the NGO Oceana, and I’m a member of the new creative collective Panthalassa, which focuses on bringing culture and the ocean together.
