The Switchfoot Bro-Am surf contest and concert is returning to Moonlight Beach in Encinitas July 12 and 13th. The Bro-Am was created to give back to the San Diego community while benefiting local children’s charities. Since its inception in 2005, the event has raised more than $715,000. The members of the band Switchfoot created it to continue the effort of supporting local at-risk, homeless, and street kids year round.

The anticipated event, which is sponsored by Hurley, will feature a surf contest and live music performances. The Rob Machado Bro Junior will also be held–open to youngsters ages 16 and under. The contest will be judged based off of who is having the most fun–a different spin on performance.

Switchfoot will be performing on the beach along with Gentlemen Hall, Pacific Air, 78Violet and Makua Rothman. The night will round out with an after party being held at the forever-esteemed Belly Up Tavern.

A webcast and more information is available at Switchfoot.com/bro-am.
