Red Gerard made history over the weekend winning the first Olympic gold for the U.S. in these games in men’s snowboard slopestyle. As we already pointed out, the 17-year-old is a legend on and off the hill. And as it happens so is his 17-person entourage.
“I kind of know they’re always going to be there for me. And, I’d say they’ve been having some fun, yeah,” he said in a press conference after winning gold. “Excuse me, but I got a Snapchat this morning at like 8:30 when I was taking a bus up and they were all shotgunning beers on the way to the mountains. So, I’d say they’ve been having a good time, yes.”
Gerard hasn’t actually gotten his medal yet. What is he going to do when he does?
“Yea, look at it for quite some time?”
