U.S. Ski & Snowboard, the organization that oversees 10 national teams for Olympic and Paralympic skiing and snowboarding – and has apparently submitted a bid to oversee surfing – announced a three-year partnership with the lifestyle clothing brand J. Crew. They said in a release on Thursday that the collaboration between the two will “have a presence” throughout “alpine, cross country, freeskiing, snowboarding, Para alpine, Para snowboarding, and more.”
“J.Crew has a long-standing connection to alpine culture, and we are thrilled to build on that legacy through our partnership with U.S. Ski & Snowboard,” said Libby Wadle, CEO of J.Crew Group. “With competitive snow sports continuing to grow in the American consciousness, we are proud to celebrate and share the inspiring stories of its athletes — both on and off the mountain — as they prepare for the Olympics next year. This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for J.Crew, and we look forward to bringing it to life.”
The collections will feature clothing through an “aspirational ski lens” with vintage ski logos and Olympic patches inspiring various sweaters and loungewear.
“This collaboration celebrates the spirit of U.S. Ski & Snowboard, blending sports lifestyle and fashion in a way that will inspire athletes and fans alike,” said Sophie Goldschmidt, former WSL CEO and current President and CEO of U.S. Ski & Snowboard.
The partnership’s grand kickoff will come right away, according to the release, at the Stifel Sun Valley Finals in Sun Valley, Idaho on March 25.
