The Inertia

My friend Brad has certainly put his blood, sweat, and tears into this amazing RV camper restoration, and it shows.

“This is an ’82 Toyota Sunrader,” Brad told me. “A two-wheel drive I converted to four-wheel drive. I did a lot of modifications and custom springs, custom shocks. I put the money into the suspension where it needed to be so that I could mob it. This entire rig, everything that you can see in it, is $20,000 dollars.”

Brad’s been living in it for three years. For anyone that knows anything about recreational vehicles these days – real, hardy livable rides – $20,000 doesn’t get you very far. That’s why it takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to restore a beauty like this. Brad made sure the outside is tough enough to get him where he wants to go, and the inside is rad too. The custom wood and materials he used to do the interior really makes the thing look good.  And according to Brad, he’s just getting started.

This thing would be at home in any ski resort parking lot or even rumbling down the Baja. What’s your favorite part? Let me know.
