The Inertia

Attached to ropes, 245 people jumped from a bridge near San Paolo, Brasil in a town called Hortolandia recently to set a world record. As weird as it may sound, the attempt breaks the previous mark, also set by Brazilians in 2016 of 149 jumpers. Alan Fereira, the event’s organizer, said 400 people were involved in the stunt that used some 20 kilometers of rope (12.4 miles) and 1,000 climbing harnesses. He apparently had to personally examine each one.
