Austin Keen is the king of skimming in strange places. He’s run from shore, skimmed across flat lake water to surf a boat wake. He’s been pulled behind horses. He’s skimmed into the wave at the Surf Ranch. And now, he’s skimmed on snow. Anyone who’s used a powsurfer knows that skimming on hardpack or groomed runs is an absolute death wish. Nobody told Austin that. He still manages to make it look good, despite some serious beatings. But you can tell the skimboard really worked well in actual powder – the same way a bindingless powsurfer would work. Check Austin’s Instagram. He’s not bad on a snowboard either.
