Sheesh! This is a gigantic avalanche in Switzerland, showing exactly how powerful moving snow can be. The video ran on the Facebook page for the website, Powder-magazin.com (the relationship to the iconic Powder magazine, is not known). Zermatt is in southern Switzerland in the canton of Valais. “Avalanche blasting in Zermatt,” read the caption in German. “The powder is there, but so is the avalanche danger. It’s okay, the season is still long.”
