Remember that movie about the badass Himalayan mountain guide who busts a human-trafficking ring while wearing an open leather jacket and impregnating a beautiful woman? No? Then you must have missed last fall’s best climbing film, Shivaay, a Bollywood thriller hopefully coming to theaters in the U.S. someday!
When you’re Shivaay, the bare-chested protagonist, you don’t need to worry about piddling details like ice climbing technique or wearing anything underneath your leather jacket. You just expose your chest to the sub-freezing temperatures while incorrectly wearing your harness and backflipping off cliffs.
Shivaay might not depict the mechanics of gravity correctly. But when it makes mountain climbing look this sexy, who cares?
