The Inertia

Kevin Pearce was on his way to unseating a legend. He was pushing Shaun White, and changing the game: the talented snowboarder was at the front end of the quark movement–difficult, inverted tricks that require precision and a whole lot of confidence. But then tragedy struck:  he slammed his skull into the icy wall of a halfpipe during a training run seven years ago. The accident and his recovery was documented in the film, The Crash Reel.

This month, Pearce released a quasi follow-up to that film, promoting his foundation, Love Your Brain, aimed at helping those who’ve suffered Traumatic Brain Injuries. Pearce has used yoga a lot in his journey, thus the LuLu Lemon sponsored content. Nonetheless, a solid piece of filmmaking highlighting a serious issue in all sports.
