The Inertia

I’m not much of a gearhead, at least in the traditional sense. Never have been. Even as a kid, my dream car was a Nissan Frontier. Seriously. Maybe a BMW M3 if I was really, really dreaming, but I wouldn’t have much use for one in this current life of mine aside from getting trapped in snow banks or on sand dunes… so I would rather not have to go through all that for the sake of having a fast “whip” that would impress almost nobody I surround myself with anyway. Therefore, getting back to it, my dream car is a Nissan Frontier.

You know what else I dream about? Roads lurking in the furthest reaches of the whitest stretches of this grand ol’ world of ours — roads asking to be stalked. And not even my Nissan Frontier says “stalker” like this new-age one-horse open sleigh.

Admittedly, this a lil’ over the top. As the designers themselves explain: “Beautiful things may arouse perverse needs in us. Like some park exhibitionists we want to show them to the world around us, whether anyone likes it or not. This is just that kind of a vehicle. The design is driven by man’s defiant nature and inborn stubbornness to prove those who don’t like winter wrong and give them a good reason to love it.”

The supercar sports an “efficient electric drive” that will “easily take us up the slope (even the ones hardly accessible) or to work by a snowy road forgotten by civilization.”

But rather that reading the fine print (as there is no word on any release date), let’s simply appreciate this profile of a benevolent queen.

She is the sort of sleek, low-riding machine that screams “freak in the sleet.”

Would you look at the ass on that beast!?!

Love me.
