These are the type of avalanches we can’t mitigate.

A post shared by Snowbird Ski Patrol (@snowbirdskipatrol) on

Crowds? What crowds? This is Snowbird, Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah. And when the rope drops on powder day here skiers and snowboarders are not f****** around. They’re getting theirs. That’s why this looks like an avalanche, one the Snowbird ski patrol says it can’t “mitigate.” And they might actually get hurt trying with all these powder animals frothing like caged tigers waiting for a meal. The need for powder is real.
