Okay, this is just a bit over the top. Two guys were playing with a drone at Les Arcs in France when they accidentally got a little to close to this skier on his way down the mountain. The skier, who posted two videos of the incident as Laurent_Krem on YouTube, loses his mind and smashes the drone with his ski pole, then proceeds to yell obscenities at the duo.
The reaction was so over the top, and the guy seemed so proud of smashing the drone, that many commenters on his YouTube page wondered if the video was staged. It’s a fair criticism but the guy’s reaction, followed by the reaction of the drone operators, sure looks real. Or they’re really good actors. Those who weren’t calling the video staged were calling out the guy for being such a hot head. And being proud of it.
If it is real, the angry skier’s reaction was certainly gnarly. Here’s another view he posted from his headcam:
