The Inertia

The scene is arguably one of the most iconic in American cinema. Italian-American boxer, Rocky Balboa, sprinting up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art with a throng of fans behind him in Rocky II. Ever since the film’s release, the steps (and not the museum itself) have become one of the City of Brotherly Love’s most popular tourist attractions. Go figure. The city even boasts an annual “Rocky Run” that concludes at the top of the steps.

In the famous scene, there’s no handrail to speak of, but there is now. At least it was carted in for the shoot. And kudos to freestyle snowboarder Sebastien Toutant (aka Seb Toots) for having the balls to hit that shit.

The above is a sort of Rocky II redux, but instead of going up the stairs, Seb hits two kink rails on the way down. Complete with a training montage, we know if Sly Stallone ever gets a load of this it’ll put a smile on his face.
