The Inertia

This is a cool little shred-edit from Lake Tahoe ripper Justin Mullen, enjoying the multitudes of backcountry haunts in California’s most fabled mountain town (which we won’t name). And from the looks of it, things were deep in December. And not just deep but dry. The pow looks so good!

The region’s snowpack is around 80 percent of normal for this time of year compared with 67 percent for the rest of the state. But there’s more on the way. A storm coming late in the weekend that will run into next week is expected to drop at least two feet in the Sierra with snow levels dropping to 3,500 feet.

But again, the snow Lake Tahoe did receive in December looks as though it was of the highest quality, as Mullen’s deftly highlights with a few well-timed slashes, choreographed perfectly with the heavy metal soundtrack.
