For the extremely initiated, the Aiguille du Midi cable car in Chamonix, France offers a lifetime of ski and snowboarding mountaineering projects. But going with someone you know is an absolute requirement for anyone frothing to get a piece of Mt. Blanc and its many famous descents. Freeskier Jacob Wester posted this sweet vlog entry to his YouTube page as he and a group of friends descended a hanging glacier into a tight exit couloir, then combat skied their way to the valley floor. It’s a good look at the Type II adventures available off the cable car – which Wester calls the “coolest ski lift in the world.” And he very well may be correct. Because if you want to ride lines of the Aiguille du Midi, you best come correct.
