Danny Davis crosses two spectrums within the snowboarding world: he competes at an extremely high level, having won a pair of X Games Gold medals in Superpipe and representing the U.S. at the Sochi Olympics. But the 27-year-old from Highland, Mich. has his feet firmly planted on the ground as he’s made serious efforts–with projects like the Peace Park–to keep snowboarding rootsy and creative. In this HEADSPACE, Davis talks influences, the friends and family he’s thankful for and growing up a snowboarder in the Midwest.
