A screw up of epic proportions ended as well as it could have for a Florida man who was on vacation in Switzerland. Chris Gursky had to hang on for dear life after a hang gliding instructor forgot to strap him into the aircraft, forcing him to dangle precariously at 4,000 feet. “For 2 minutes, 14 seconds I had to hang on for my life,” he wrote.
When Gursky made it to the ground he didn’t do so without injury: he reportedly had to have surgery on a mangled wrist and tore a bicep tendon. Both injuries he’d probably take as opposed to the alternative. “I will go hang gliding again as I did not get to enjoy my first flight,” he said.
