That’s not the setup for a joke. Far from it. It’s the stage for one of the most creative segments in snow film we’ve seen in recent memory.
Late last winter, we reported on whispers of a new project from the visionary mind of freeskier Chris Benchetler. Now, that project has been fully realized in Benchetler’s Grateful Dead-inspired opus, Fire on the Mountain.
Here, we get a behind the scenes glimpse of the project from the vantage of Michelle Parker for her series with Red Bull, Originate. It’s the most in-depth view of Fire on the Mountain we’ve gotten so far, complete with insight from Benchetler and his wife, Kimmy Fasani. And damn if it doesn’t make us excited to watch the film in its entirety.
