Elena Hight has had a nice start to the year. She just won the Natural Selection Tour’s first stop at Jackson Hole. And in January, Absinthe Films released a Microdose feature on Elena, telling the story about how she went from Hawaiian-born beach kid to champion snowboarder.
In the first of this multi-part series, Elena talks about her Hawaiian roots and how she came into her own in the competitive snowboarding environment that was Lake Tahoe, California. Elena, of course, has won X-Games gold and represented the U.S. in two Olympics.
