If you hadn’t heard, Cody Townsend is on a mission to ski 50 classic ski routes from the book, 50 Classic Ski Descents of North America. We detailed the mission here. Cody started off with a banger, nailing conditions on Utah’s Mt. Superior, just across the highway from Snowbird in Utah’s Little Cottonwood Canyon. It’s a true classic, a steep descent with photo-worthy features. Cody nailed it after waiting out a period of snow instability, which is the best insight from this installment of “Fifty”: patience always wins the day.
