Colorado is a beautiful state, made even more so by its ski industry – both resort and backcountry. Following World War II, basically when the 10th Mountain Division returned stateside, there was a ski industry boom. Over the course of the state’s history, there have been nearly 200 ski resorts in operation. There’s only 30 or so up and running today. What’s happened to those abandoned resorts? This group of backcountry skiers set out to explore that question, and the terrain left behind after these resorts closed. Good music, cool dogs, and an apocalyptic feel make this a good watch – and especially apropos in the current world we’re living in.
