The Inertia

Tragedy struck this week at Eldora Mountain 40 minutes west of Boulder, Colorado when a 72-year-old skier died after colliding with a snowboarder on the slopes. Eldora ski patrol responded to the collision and found the skier unconscious. A medivac helicopter was contacted but the skier died before the helicopter could arrive. The snowboarder was also treated for injuries in the accident.

The skier was sadly identified as Ron LeMaster, an exceptional skier and writer who penned the books The Skier’s Edge and Ultimate Skiing. Our thoughts go out to LeMaster’s friends and family.
