Several months back, I heard the phrase, “Sitting is the new smoking.” At first, I was kind of taken aback by it. It didn’t really make sense to me. While smoking is actively harming your health, sitting is just the absence of doing anything. But that’s the point. You’re not doing anything. Your muscles are designed to be used, and when you fail to do so, you neglect your health.
The TED Talk below features Roger Frampton, a male model/ fitness guru. To be clear, he’s no doctor, but he does have an interesting perspective on how to evaluate someone’s level of fitness. His more holistic approach is refreshing, and even if you don’t fully agree with him, you have to respect him for thinking outside the box. Watch below to learn more.
