This smoothie bowl is part food part art. The colors and patterns are simply astounding. I also like that the flowers also bring an element of springtime to the table.Not to mention, in combination it all tastes pretty good, and it’s pretty good for you. The bright turquoise color characteristic of all mermaid bowls is created by sprirulina. Spirulina is blue-green algae that is packed with nutrients: protein (60-70% by weight), iron, minerals, B12, and chlorophyll. Needless to say it’s super good for you.
Ingredients
Bowl
-1 banana (frozen)
-1 kiwi
-1/4 cup edamame
-1 tsp spirulina powder (add more if you’re used to the taste)
-1/2 cup soygurt
Toppings (add desired quantities)
-cinnamon ‘rawnola’
-rainbow beet
-banana
-black currants
-sea buckthorn berries
-gojis
-cacao nibs
-hemp hearts
-coconut
-bee pollen
Instructions
-Blend smoothie bowl ingredients together in a food processor.
-Pour into a bowl.
-Arrange toppings as desired.
