The Inertia

Pose: Puppy With Hands In Reverse Prayer

Benefits

  • Stretches the spine.
  • Decompresses the lower back.
  • Opens up the shoulders.
  • Stretches the triceps.
  • Calms the body and mind.

Instructions

  • From all fours, bring your triceps onto 2 blocks and drop your forehead onto the mat. Check that your hips are directly above your knees.
  • Draw your hips back to feel a deep stretch in your triceps.
  • Stay in the pose for 3 minutes, breathing in and out through your nose.
  • Release the pose and come back up to all fours.

Contraindication

  • Avoid this pose if you have a shoulder injury.
