The Inertia

If you are a person who enjoys getting off the beaten path, you know just how much a few small creature comforts can add to your experience. But creature comforts often require a power source, and beaten paths are famously lacking in outlets. Which is where Bluetti comes in. Bluetti makes portable power stations, and their newest products, the AC60 and B80 portable power stations, are a perfect addition to any outdoor adventurer’s pack.

The AC60 is Bluetti’s most compact power station, but it packs a surprising punch. With a 600 watt inverter and a 403 WH LiFePO4 battery, it charges incredibly quickly and lasts longer than most others on the market. Getting off the beaten path often means getting a little dirty, but that won’t matter because the AC60 is not only dust-proof, but water-resistant as well. It was designed to withstand the rigors of life outside the house, with internal circuits that are isolated from the fan vents and outlets that are sealed with waterproof rubber. The case is made from materials that pass water-resistance and dust-proofing tests, as well, so it’ll hold up to the elements whether you’re in the desert, a rainforest, or anywhere between.

Weighing in at just a hair under 19 pounds, the AC60 won’t break your back. It’s only 11″x8.5″x9.7″, which is about the size of a toolbox, it’s easy to fit under the seat of your van or a storage compartment in your camper. Equipped with a handy folding handle, it’s easy to move and pack away.

The AC60 has three charging modes, including a silent mode that’s a 160 watts, a standard mode that’s 255 watts, and a turbo mode with a whopping 600 watts. It can be charged with lead-acid charging or straight from your vehicle, and if you decide to extend your trip for a few extra days? That’s not an issue, because the AC60 also supports solar charging up to 200 watts. You don’t need to buy a special solar panel, either — Bluetti made the AC60 widely compatible with other solar panels instead of forcing owners to purchase one from them.

Bluetti also just released the B80 expansion battery to go with the AC60. An 806Wh battery, it has a cycle life of over 3,000 cycles. In layman’s terms, an 806Wh battery has the capability to charge an average smart phone up to 43 times, a laptop up to 10 times, and power a light for more than 60 hours.

In tandem with the AC60, it increases the capacity to a maximum of 2,015Wh. The B80 also serves as a standalone DC power source. It, like the AC60, supports 200W solar charging via an included standard PV charge cable. It has three ports: SB-A, USB-C, and cigarette lighter, so between the three of them, your needs will be sufficiently met.

Both the AC60 and the B80 are covered by a six-year warranty, so you’ll be powering your adventures worry-free for years to come.
