It’s become a monthly habit of ours in 2018 to take a moment and look back on the past 30 days (or 31…or 28…you get the idea) whenever it’s time to flip open a new page in the calendar. March gave us a return to the ‘CT, with Julian Wilson and Lakey Peterson snatching yellow jerseys on the Gold Coast. Mick Fanning is now set to retire while Kelly’s still holding out on us to fully recoup a foot injury suffered in South Africa last year. There’s a lot of 2018 left before we have new (or repeating…three-peating) champs, but there’s always a refreshing little bit of comfort to knowing the Tour is back up and running for a new campaign.
Oh, and how about the umpteen winter storms that plowed through the U.S., puking snow and waves on anybody that was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time for some late-winter gems? So while spring is springing on our side of the world and the Tour is back up to full speed, here are a few of our favorite images from March.
