The Inertia

Airbnb has had some pretty interesting listings over the years. For example, this igloo in Greenland, or a tipi in Denmark, or this 1-square-meter “house” in Berlin, Germany… the list of bizarre places to spend an evening is seemingly endless. Today, we learned of the company’s newest and greatest listing to date—Airbnb Ireland will be selecting three lucky winners and their guests to spend a night at the Aquarium de Paris in an underwater glass room surrounded by 35 sharks.

Winners will receive a one-night stay on April 11, 12 or 13 in an underwater observation chamber that sits about 30 feet below the surface. The room is furnished with a bed and several other amenities, including cuddly ocean-themed stuffed animals, should anyone get scared and need something to hold onto. Guests will also be treated to a tour of the aquarium, followed by a dinner inside the viewing tank.

So how does one get a shot at this once in a lifetime opportunity? First, applicants must be at least 18 years old and in good physical health. In 50 and 550 characters, applicants are asked to explain why they’re the perfect candidate. Applicants must have an Airbnb account and apply before midnight Central European Time on April 3rd. There’s no cost to enter or stay, and organizers will take care of flights for the winners. Good luck, everyone!

More information on how to enter is on the Airbnb website.
