The meeting between human animals and friendly members of another species can be a very moving moment. This week, on vacation near Flic en Flac in Mauritius, our small group of family and friends came upon (or, rather, vice versa) one of the large pods of dolphins known to frequent the area.
It was all hands overboard with mask and snorkel. Guillaume Duchesne captured this remarkable footage. A Réunion Island-based physical therapist, Guillaume is an experienced scuba diver. He’s totally comfortable underwater, with good lungs, a steady hand, and an open, curious eye.
