Just about everybody knows of Ocean Ramsey now. She’s essentially The Shark Whisperer, if that TV show were to exist, so what she does is pretty incredible to say the least. She’s one of the world’s most widely known shark and ocean conservationists, but mostly she’s super famous for swimming with the sharks. Great whites, tiger sharks – you name she’s put on a pair of flippers and cruised underwater with it. It’s equal parts badass and beautiful, which explains why it’s so easy to be enamored with the woman’s work.
But here Ramsey proves she doesn’t need to be swimming with an apex predator to do something amazing. While whale sharks don’t exactly strike fear into our hearts like great whites, they’re still the largest species of fish on the planet. They’re graceful, they’re awesome, and watching Ramsey swim around with one is a quick way to remember just how small you are in this very, very big world.
