1999 World Champion Mark Occhilupo, who has been cast in the current season of Australia’s version of Dancing with the Stars (and is looking exceptionally Fabio-esque), received a stern verbal lashing by the program’s judges after his performance over the weekend.
Said judge Todd McKenney: “You’re not just a goofy-footed surfer, you’re a really goofy-footed dancer…It was the worst routine we’ve had on any series in eleven series…stick to surfing.”
Gracious in defeat, Occy promised to stick to surfing – but not without hoping for redemption in next week’s ballroom competition.
