Celebrating our sixth consecutive year, Save The Waves Film Festival will travel to three beautiful cities in November 2014: beginning in San Diego, California, on November 7; then touring to Brooklyn, New York, on November 14; and finishing back in our original hometown of San Francisco, California, on November 21.
Save The Waves Film Festival is a one-night fundraiser event featuring documentary surf films, ocean conservation campaigns, live music, and art. The call for film entries is now open through September 15, 2014. Please submit your films here.
Save The Waves Film Festival is not restricted by film genre. However, filmmakers are encouraged to explore unique and personal stories that link surfing and the environment, environmental activism, surf culture and the cultural and environmental values of waves and surfing. Save The Waves Film Festival embraces film submissions that explore all aspects and angles of surfing, coastal environmentalism, and cutting-edge artistry from documentary to animation to engaging, experimental and unique works of ocean-inspired art.

The deadline for the receipt of film submissions to Save The Waves Film Festival 2014 is September 15, 2014. All filmmakers are encouraged to submit films early and often.
