Michael Tomson, retired pro surfer and co-founder of Gotcha Surfwear, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence last Monday night. Tomson, 58, was charged with two felony counts of DUI, possession of a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor count of being under the influence of drugs.
Tomson was driving a Mercedes on Glenneyre Street in Laguna Beach when he rear-ended a Nissan. According to the LA Times, nobody was seriously injured.
Gotcha, which is now based in Newport Beach, was popular among surfers during the 1980s.
