Thomas is Senior Risk Scientist at Risk Frontiers and Adjunct Fellow in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Macquarie University. He has worked for over 10 years in the field of climate change science, and coastal and flood risk modelling and monitoring. He has a broad experience base working with and within government, industry and academia, both in Australia and internationally. Most recently Thomas has led projects to help industry better understand their exposure to climate change risk using a range of numerical modelling, geospatial and machine-learning based approaches. Thomas is a Chartered (Marine) Engineer and Chartered (Marine) Scientist with the Institute of Marine Science, Engineering and Technology (IMarEST) and an Adjunct Fellow in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Macquarie University.
