Steven has always had a hard time staying in one place for too long. In his teenage years, he lived in California and later on in Western Australia, where he went to university, completed a BA in Journalism and learned what real surfing was all about. In the last decade, he's traveled the world chasing waves and stories, writing for publications such as Surfing, ASL, Transworld Surf, Status, Trip, SurfPortugal and Surf Europe, among others. In the last four years, he moved back to his native Brazil to work as Chief Editor of HARDCORE magazine – a fun and rewarding challenge. The long spells in the office took their toll, however, so he recently took up the position of International Editor and moved to Bali–a move that surely will bring him more joy and time on the road and in the water.
