A word from Steve Andrews

Storytelling has always been an important facet of my life. My grandmother was a published writer who would enthrall us kids with the most animated bedtime stories. As a teenager, my friends and I would kill time after school by making comedy and horror movies, and the odd music video.

When in college at USC (Fight On!) I made the switch from film school to Communication and Journalism with the desire to be more hands-on with storytelling and to share more of real life from a grittier and more raw perspective. But I felt the pull of the mountains and left LA for Whistler, where I pursued a love of snowboarding and mountain biking. In that time I began to write for the local paper and travel magazines, and haven’t looked back.

I love adventure and the excitement of finding places that aren’t on the influencer radar, and keeping it that way. Now with a young daughter, I find joy in helping her discover new parts of the world, only in smaller doses. I still find a thrill in dancing with nature and gravity, and hopefully will continue to do so for a long time to come.
