Spencer Ash

Spencer Ash holds a masters degree in Marine Affairs and Policy from the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, an advanced graduate medical certificate in public health from the Miller School of Medicine, and an MS in Health Informatics and Analytics from Florida International University. As a master freediver and overall waterman he also has a background in environmental science, public health (oceans and human health), and maritime policy. Stoked on everything water related he also promotes ethical spearfishing, regularly removes marine debris, and advocates for responsible consumptive uses of the ocean through his work as a paddleboard instructor, assistant freedive instructor, safety freediver, underwater photographer, former Chairman of the Surfrider Foundation Miami Chapter, and as a 5Gyres Ambassador. #SurfShopBoxOhana
