Shawn Kelly is a lifelong waterman and former competitive surfer. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master's in Environmental Science and Management, with an emphasis in Marine Resources from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Shawn's professional interests include coastal land use policy, coastal streams and wetlands, physical oceanography, marine fisheries, ocean engineering, and climate change impacts, in particular sea level rise. Shawn is a Program Manager for the Southern California Wetlands Recovery Project (SCWRP or WRP), a partnership of public agencies working cooperatively to acquire, restore, and enhance coastal wetlands and watersheds in coastal southern California.
